COOLING FAN MOTOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL NO. 2 COOLING FAN MOTOR

   
   

   1. Install the No. 2 cooling fan motor with the 3 screws.

      Torque:

      3.9 N*m  { 40 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf }

2. INSTALL COOLING FAN MOTOR

   
   

   1. Install the cooling fan motor with the 3 screws.

      Torque:

      3.9 N*m  { 40 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf }

3. INSTALL NO. 2 FAN

   Note

   Do not reverse the position of the fan and No. 2 fan when installing them. Doing so may damage the parts.

   
   

   1. Install the No. 2 fan with the nut.

      Torque:

      6.3 N*m  { 64 kgf*cm, 56 in.*lbf }

4. INSTALL FAN

   Note

   Do not reverse the position of the fan and No. 2 fan when installing them. Doing so may damage the parts.

   
   

   1. Install the fan with the nut.

      Torque:

      6.3 N*m  { 64 kgf*cm, 56 in.*lbf }

5. INSTALL COOLING FAN ECU

   
   

   1. for Cooling Fan Motor 160 W + 160 W Type or 200 W + 200 W Type:

      
      

      1. Install the cooling fan ECU with the 2 screws.

         Torque:

         2.6 N*m  { 27 kgf*cm, 23 in.*lbf }

      2. Engage the 4 clamps to connect the wire harness.

      3. Connect the cooling fan motor connector and No. 2 cooling fan motor connector.

   2. for Cooling Fan Motor 240 W + 240 W Type

      
      

      1. Install the 2 cooling fan ECUs with the 4 screws.

         Torque:

         2.6 N*m  { 27 kgf*cm, 23 in.*lbf }

      2. Engage the 2 clamps to connect the wire harness.

      3. Connect the cooling fan motor connector and No. 2 cooling fan motor connector.

      4. Engage the 4 clamps to install the cooling fan wire.

      5. Connect the cooling fan wire connector.

6. INSTALL FAN SHROUD ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Engage the 3 guides.

   2. Engage the 3 claws to install the fan shroud assembly to the radiator assembly.

      Note

      Do not damage the radiator assembly when installing the fan shroud assembly.

7. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM ECU OUTLET DUCT

8. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Install a new radiator hose clamp to the fan shroud assembly.

   2. Engage the clamp to connect the No. 2 radiator hose sub-assembly to the radiator hose clamp.

9. INSTALL RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY

10. CONNECT ENGINE ROOM MAIN WIRE

11. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE

    Click here

12. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE

    Click here

13. INSTALL INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER

    Click here

14. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

15. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

16. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

17. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
