SEAT BELT WARNING SYSTEM(w/ Occupant Classification System) Driver Side Seat Belt Warning Light does not Operate

DESCRIPTION

The combination meter assembly illuminates, blinks or turns off the front seat belt warning light on the combination meter assembly in accordance with the state of the front seat inner belt assembly LH.

Tech Tips

The front seat belt warning light on the combination meter assembly is used for both the driver side seat and front passenger side seat.

Note

The seat belt warning system uses the CAN communication system. First, confirm that there is no malfunction in the CAN communication system. Refer to the How to Proceed with Troubleshooting procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC (AIRBAG SYSTEM)


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Clear DTCs

    2. Check for DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Trouble Codes

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS (LEFT SIDE BUCKLE SW)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / SRS Airbag / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.


      Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Data List

  3. REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)


    1. Replace the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) with a new or normally one.
