PRE-CRASH SAFETY SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:C1A47

DTC Code DTC Name
C1A47 Steering Angle Sensor

DESCRIPTION

The brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU) receives steering rotation angle information from the spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly (steering angle sensor), and sends the information to the driving support ECU assembly via CAN communication.

If the brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU) detects a malfunction of the spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly (steering angle sensor), it sends a malfunction signal to the driving support ECU assembly and stores this DTC.

DTC No. Detection Item DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
C1A47 Steering Angle Sensor While the vehicle speed is 50 km/h (31 mph) or more, a spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly (steering angle sensor) malfunction signal is received from the brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU) for 1 second or more.
  • Vehicle stability control system

  • Brake actuator assembly (Skid control ECU)

  • Driving support ECU assembly

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

  • First check the CAN communication system by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting. After checking that there are no malfunctions in the CAN communication system, proceed with troubleshooting.

  • When replacing the driving support ECU assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a driving support ECU assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the driving support ECU assembly will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.
