PARKING ASSIST MONITOR SYSTEM(for Camera built-in ECU) HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

• Use the following procedure to troubleshoot the parking assist monitor system.

• *: Use the GTS.

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE

   
   

   1. Measure the battery voltage with the ignition switch off.

      Standard voltage
      11 to 14 V

      If the voltage is below 11 V, replace or recharge the battery before proceeding to the next step.

3. CHECK IF SAME SYMPTOM APPEARS IN OTHER SYSTEM

   
   

   1. Refer to the navigation system (for Navigation Receiver Type).

4. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*

   
   

   1. Use the GTS to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

6. CHECK FOR DTC (PARKING ASSIST MONITOR SYSTEM)*

   
   

   1. Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output.

   2. Clear the DTCs.

      Chassis > IPA/Parking Assist Monitor > Clear DTCs

   3. Recheck for DTCs. Try to prompt the DTC by simulating the original activity that the DTC suggests.

      Note

      The television camera assembly and navigation receiver assembly*1 or radio and display receiver assembly*2 outputs DTCs for the following systems. When DTCs other than those in Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart for the parking assist monitor system are output, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart for the relevant systems.
