REAR SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (for TMC, TMMR Made) REMOVAL


  1. PRECAUTION (w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag)

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag)

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  3. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for Fold Down Seat Type)

  4. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH (for Fold Down Seat Type)


    1. Fold down the rear seatback assembly RH.

      Disengage the fastener as shown in the illustration.

    3. w/o Seat Heater System:


      1. B000J3W

        Remove the 2 bolts and rear seatback assembly RH.

        Note

        Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    4. w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. B000J3W

        Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the rear seatback assembly RH.

      2. B000H9I

        Disconnect the connector.

      3. Disengage the clamp and remove the rear seatback assembly RH.

        Note

        Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  5. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for Fold Down Seat Type)

    w/ Seat Heater System:

  6. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH (for Fold Down Seat Type)

  7. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Fold Down Seat Type)


    1. B000IRWE01

      Lift up the front edge of the rear seat cushion assembly as shown in the illustration and disengage the 2 rear seat cushion frame hooks on the front side of the rear seat cushion assembly from the 2 rear seat cushion lock hooks.

      Standard Measurement
      a 100 mm (3.94 in.) or less

      Note

      Be sure to hold the part of the rear seat cushion assembly directly next to the rear seat cushion lock hooks when lifting it up. Lifting a different part of the rear seat cushion assembly may deform the rear seat cushion frame.

    2. w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. Disconnect the connector.

      2. B000KQW

        Disengage the 2 clamps.

    3. Pass the 2 rear seat inner belt assemblies through the rear seat cushion assembly and remove the rear seat cushion assembly.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  8. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK (for Fold Down Seat Type)

      Disengage the 2 claws to remove the rear seat cushion lock hook as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Rear seat cushion lock hooks must not be reused.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  9. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Reclining Seat Type)


    1. B000HUCE01

      Lift up the front edge of the rear seat cushion assembly as shown in the illustration and disengage the 2 rear seat cushion frame hooks on the front side of the rear seat cushion assembly from the 2 rear seat cushion lock hooks.

      Standard Measurement
      a 100 mm (3.94 in.) or less

      Note

      Be sure to hold the part of the rear seat cushion assembly directly next to the rear seat cushion lock hooks when lifting it up. Lifting a different part of the rear seat cushion assembly may deform the rear seat cushion frame.

    2. Disconnect the 2 seat heater connectors.

    3. Pass the 2 rear seat inner belt assemblies through the rear seat cushion assembly and remove the rear seat cushion assembly.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  10. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK (for Reclining Seat Type)

      Disengage the 2 claws to remove the rear seat cushion lock hook as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Rear seat cushion lock hooks must not be reused.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  11. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for Reclining Seat Type)

  12. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK COVER (for Reclining Seat Type)

      Disengage the 4 claws and remove the 2 rear seatback covers.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  13. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH (for Reclining Seat Type)


    1. w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag:


      1. Disconnect each connector and clamp from the child restraint seat anchor bracket sub-assembly RH.

    2. Disengage the rear seat belt from the rear seat shoulder belt guide.

    3. B000NM8

      Disengage the 2 hooks and disconnect the cover.

    4. Remove the 2 nuts, 2 bolts and rear seatback assembly RH.

  14. REMOVE CHILD RESTRAINT SEAT ANCHOR BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Remove the 2 nuts and child restraint seat anchor bracket sub-assembly RH.

    1. Disconnect the rear seat outer belt assembly from the rear seat shoulder belt guide LH.

      Remove the bolt.

    3. Disengage the hook and remove the rear side seatback assembly LH.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  19. REMOVE REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH (for Fold Down Seat Type)


    1. Disconnect the rear seat outer belt assembly from the rear seat shoulder belt guide RH.

      Remove the bolt.

    3. Disengage the hook and remove the rear side seatback assembly RH.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  20. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for Reclining Seat Type)

      Disengage the 4 claws and remove the 2 rear seatback covers.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  22. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH (for Reclining Seat Type)


    1. w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag:


      1. Disconnect each connector and clamp from the child restraint seat anchor bracket sub-assembly LH.

    2. Disengage the 2 rear seat belts from the 2 rear seat shoulder belt guides.

      Disengage the 2 hooks and disconnect the cover.

    4. Remove the 2 nuts, 2 bolts and rear seatback assembly LH.

  23. REMOVE REAR CENTER SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for Reclining Seat Type)

  24. REMOVE CENTER SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (for Reclining Seat Type)


    1. Disconnect the connector.

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    3. Disengage the hook and remove the center seatback assembly as shown in the illustration.

  25. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (for Reclining Seat Type)

      Disengage the 6 claws and remove the rear door scuff plate LH.

      Tech Tips

      Disengage the claws from the rear side of the scuff plate.

  26. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (for Reclining Seat Type)

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  27. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH


    1. Disconnect the rear door opening trim weatherstrip LH.

  28. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH


    1. Disconnect the rear door opening trim weatherstrip RH.

  29. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH (for Reclining Seat Type)

      Remove the bolt.

    2. Disengage the claw, 2 clips and guide and remove the rear seat side garnish LH.

  30. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH (for Reclining Seat Type)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  31. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the floor anchor of the rear seat outer belt assembly.

  32. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the floor anchor of the rear seat outer belt assembly.

  33. REMOVE CHILD RESTRAINT SEAT ANCHOR BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Remove the 2 nuts and child restraint seat anchor bracket sub-assembly LH.

  34. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the floor anchor of the rear seat inner with center belt assembly LH.

  35. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH LH

      Disengage the 5 clips.

    2. Disengage the guide and remove the roof side inner garnish LH.

  36. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  37. REMOVE CENTER STOP LIGHT SET (w/o Rear Sunshade)

      Slide the center stop light set in the order and directions shown by the arrows in the illustration while pushing it towards the rear of the vehicle to disengage the 4 claws.

    2. B000IPH

      Turn the center stop light set 180 degrees as shown by the arrow in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      This makes it easier to disconnect the connector.

    3. Disconnect the connector and remove the center stop light set.

  38. REMOVE REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT COVER

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws and 4 guides and remove the rear seat shoulder belt cover.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the other 2 rear seat shoulder belt covers.

  39. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/o Rear Sunshade)

      Using pliers, disengage the 3 clips from inside the luggage compartment as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the tips of the pliers before use.

    2. Disengage the 5 guides.

    3. Pass the 3 rear seat belt floor anchors through the package tray trim panel assembly then remove the package tray trim panel assembly.

  40. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear Sunshade)

      Using pliers, disengage the 3 clips from inside the luggage compartment as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the tips of the pliers before use.

    2. Disengage the guide.

    3. Pass the 3 rear seat belt floor anchors through the package tray trim panel assembly then remove the package tray trim panel assembly.
