FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE (for TMMK Made)

      Disengage the 2 claws (A) in the direction indicated by the arrows (1) shown in the illustration.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws (B) in the direction indicated by the arrows (2) shown in the illustration.

    3. Disengage the 6 claws (C) to remove the front door scuff plate LH.

  4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE (for TMC, TMMR Made)

      Disengage the 10 claws and remove the front door scuff plate LH.

  5. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP


    1. Disconnect the front door opening trim weatherstrip.

  6. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE (for TMMK Made)

      Disengage the claw (A) in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration.

    2. Disengage the claw (B) in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration.

    3. Disengage the 4 claws (C) to remove the rear door scuff plate LH.

      Tech Tips

      Disengage the claws from the front side of the rear door scuff plate LH.

  7. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE (for TMC, TMMR Made)

      Disengage the 6 claws and remove the rear door scuff plate LH.

      Tech Tips

      Disengage the claws from the rear side of the scuff plate.

  8. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP


    1. Disconnect the rear door opening trim weatherstrip.

  9. REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER

      Disengage the 3 claws and remove the lap belt outer anchor cover.

  10. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the floor anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly.

  11. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH (for TMMK Made)

      Disengage the 2 claws and 3 clips, and remove the center pillar lower garnish LH.

  12. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH (for TMC, TMMR Made)

      Disengage the 2 claws and 3 clips, and remove the center pillar lower garnish LH.

  13. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR UPPER GARNISH (for TMMK Made)

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disengage the clip.

    3. Pass the floor anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly LH through the center pillar upper garnish LH and remove the center pillar upper garnish LH.

    4. Remove the clip from the center pillar upper garnish LH.

  14. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR UPPER GARNISH (for TMC, TMMR Made)

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disengage the clip.

    3. Pass the floor anchor of the front seat outer seat belt assembly LH through the center pillar upper garnish LH and remove the center pillar upper garnish LH.

  15. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

      Remove the nut and disconnect the shoulder anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly.

      *a Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button in the direction shown by the arrow in the illustration to release the lock, and disconnect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      Remove the 2 bolts and front seat outer belt assembly.

  16. REMOVE FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY


    1. B000IAI

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Disengage the guide and remove the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assembly.
