VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM TRC OFF Indicator Light does not Come ON

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU is connected to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

   
   

   1. Check if a CAN communication system DTC is output Click here.

      Result
      Result Proceed to DTC is not output. A DTC is output. B

   INSPECT CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM Click here

2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (MULTI-INFORMATION DISPLAY (TRC OFF MESSAGE))

   
   

   1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

   2. Start the engine.

   3. Select the Active Test on the intelligent tester Click here.

      TRC(TRAC) OFF Indicator Light	Multi-information display (TRC OFF message)	Display (message) ON/OFF	Observe combination meter assembly

   4. Check that the multi-information display (TRC OFF message) on the combination meter assembly turns on or off in accordance with the intelligent tester operation.

      OK
      The multi-information display (TRC OFF message) turns on or off in accordance with the Active Test operation.

   INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY Click here

   OK

   REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY Click here

3. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Turn the ignition switch off.

   2. Perform an Active Test of the combination meter assembly (meter CPU) using the intelligent tester Click here.

   3. Check the combination meter assembly.

      OK
      The multi-information display turns on or off in accordance with the Active Test operation.
