HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY(for Hatchback, Wagon) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL LH (for LHD)

  2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER MUDGUARD LH (for LHD)

  3. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH (for LHD)

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH (for LHD)

  5. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH (for RHD)

  6. REMOVE FRONT FENDER MUDGUARD RH (for RHD)

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

  12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (for RHD)

  14. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

  15. DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  16. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01LVFG

      Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly and remove the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

  17. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


    1. A01LUVA

      Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly.

    2. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 clamps and hood cable grommet as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    3. Pull the hood lock control cable assembly from the engine compartment and remove it.

  18. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

      Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly.

    2. Using a screwdriver, disengage 4 clamps and hood cable grommet as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    3. Pull the hood lock control cable assembly from the engine compartment and remove it.
