DESCRIPTION

A DTC is output when a communication malfunction occurs between the sensors and ECUs.

U0123 Lost Communication with Yaw Rate Sensor Module The pre-crash safety city sensor is unable to receive data from the airbag sensor assembly (yaw rate and acceleration sensor) for 1 second or more continuously while the vehicle is being driven at a speed of 5 km/h (3 mph) or more.

U0126 Lost Communication With Steering Angle Sensor Module The pre-crash safety city sensor is unable to receive data from the steering sensor for 1 second or more continuously while the vehicle is being driven at a speed of 5 km/h (3 mph) or more.

U0129 Lost Communication with Brake System Control Module The pre-crash safety city sensor is unable to receive data from the brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU) for 5 seconds or more.

U0155 Lost Communication with Combination Meter The pre-crash safety city sensor is unable to receive data from the combination meter assembly for 80 seconds or more continuously.

U023A Lost Communication with Front Camera Module The brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU) is unable to receive data from the pre-crash safety city sensor for 2 seconds or more.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Tech Tips

Communication may be suspended if the temperature of the pre-crash city sensor is abnormal. In this case, DTC U023A will be stored, however when the temperature returns to normal, communication will return.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTCS (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Chassis > PCS/LDA/RSA/LVN > Clear DTCs

    2. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      Tech Tips

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

    3. Check for DTCs.
