DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when a communication error occurs between the radio and display receiver assembly and combination meter assembly.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC (METER / GAUGE SYSTEM)


    1. Check for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the E125 radio and display receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the E46 combination meter assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E125-3 (CNH1) - E46-36 (MSCH) Always Below 1 Ω
      E125-4 (CNL1) - E46-37 (MSCL) Always Below 1 Ω
      E125-3 (CNH1) or E46-36 (MSCH) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E125-4 (CNL1) or E46-37 (MSCL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  3. REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the combination meter assembly.

      for Hatchback, Wagon: Click here

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.
