VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM TRC OFF Indicator Light does not Come ON

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) is connected to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.

When replacing the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly), perform system variant learning.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM


    1. Check if CAN communication system DTCs are output.

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (TRC OFF INDICATOR LIGHT)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Start the engine.

    3. Select the Active Test using the GTS.

      *1: except Multi-information Display (Color Type)

      *2: for Multi-information Display (Color Type)

    4. Check that the TRC OFF indicator light (except Multi-information Display (Color Type)) or the multi-information display (TRC OFF message) (for Multi-information Display (Color Type)) on the combination meter assembly turns on or off in accordance with the GTS operation.

      The TRC OFF indicator light (except Multi-information Display (Color Type)) or the multi-information display (TRC OFF message) (for Multi-information Display (Color Type)) turns on or off in accordance with the Active Test operation.

      If troubleshooting has been carried out according to Problem Symptoms Table, refer back to the table and proceed to the next step before replacing parts.

  3. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY


    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Perform an Active Test of the combination meter assembly using the GTS (except Multi-information Display (Color Type)).

    3. Perform an Active Test of the combination meter assembly using the GTS (for Multi-information Display (Color Type)).

    4. Check the combination meter assembly.

      OK
      The TRC OFF indicator light (except Multi-information Display (Color Type)) or the multi-information display (TRC OFF message) (for Multi-information Display (Color Type)) turns on or off in accordance with the Active Test operation.
