MULTI-MODE MANUAL TRANSAXLE SYSTEM Engine does not Start

DESCRIPTION

If any malfunctions are suspected in the transaxle control system after reassembling or repairing transaxle system components, perform troubleshooting in accordance with the following chart.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT

   
   

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

   3. Turn the GTS on.

   4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Multi-Mode M/T / Trouble Codes.

      
      Powertrain > Multi-Mode M/T > Trouble Codes

   5. Read the DTCs using the GTS.

      Result

2. READ VALUE USING GTS (LEARN-CLUTCH STOP POINT)

   
   

   1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Multi-Mode M/T / Data List / Learn-Clutch Stop Point.

      
      Powertrain > Multi-Mode M/T > Data List

      Tester Display
      Learn-Clutch Stop Point

   2. In accordance with the display on the GTS, read the Data List.

   1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Multi-Mode M/T / Data List / Learning-T/M.

      
      Powertrain > Multi-Mode M/T > Data List

      Tester Display
      Learning-T/M

   2. In accordance with the display on the GTS, read the Data List.

      Result

4. READ VALUE USING GTS (GEAR POSITION (CURRENT))

   
   

   1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Multi-Mode M/T / Data List / Gear Position (Current).

      
      Powertrain > Multi-Mode M/T > Data List

      Tester Display
      Gear Position (Current)

   2. Move the shift lever to N (neutral).

   3. In accordance with the display on the GTS, read the Data List.

      Result Proceed to Neutral (N) A Other than neutral (N) B

5. INSPECT NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH

   
   

   1. Inspect the neutral position switch.
