TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE BATTERY

    Click here

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER

    Click here

  4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  6. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 FRONT FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR

      Remove the 3 nuts and No. 1 front floor heat insulator.

  8. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

  9. REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

      Remove the clip and disconnect the transmission control select cable from the floor shift lever assembly.

      Disconnect the transmission control shift cable from the floor shift lever assembly.

      Release the 2 claws and separate the transmission control cable assembly from the shift lever assembly.

    4. A012GM0

      Remove the nut and disconnect the clip, clamp and wire harness.

      Remove the 2 clips (A) and disconnect the 2 transmission control cable assemblies from the manual transaxle assembly.

    6. Remove the 2 clips (B) and disconnect the 2 transmission control cable assemblies from the control cable bracket assembly.

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the rear engine mounting bracket.

      Remove the 2 nuts and then remove the transmission control cable assembly from the vehicle exterior.
