AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR(w/ Glow Plug Controller) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE WATER GUARD PLATE LH


  3. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER AIR DUCT SPLASH SHIELD SEAL


  4. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL


  5. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER (w/ No. 1 Engine Cover)

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 WIRE HARNESS HEAT INSULATOR

      Unfasten the 2 buttons.

      *a Air Fuel Ratio Sensor Connector
      *b Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Connector

      Disconnect the 2 air fuel ratio sensor connectors.

    3. Disconnect the exhaust gas temperature sensor connector.

    4. Disengage the clamp.

      *b Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Connector

      Disengage the 2 air fuel ratio sensor connectors from the wire harness clamp bracket.

    6. Disengage the exhaust gas temperature sensor connector from the wire harness clamp bracket.

      Remove the No. 1 wire harness heat insulator from the wire harness clamp bracket.

  7. REMOVE WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET


    1. B0042MS

      Disengage the wire harness clamp.

    2. B0042J6

      Remove the 2 bolts and wire harness clamp bracket from the No. 2 engine cover bracket.

  8. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE COVER BRACKET


    1. B0041ZZ

      Remove the 2 nuts and No. 2 engine cover bracket.

  9. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Sensor 1)

      Using SST, remove the air fuel ratio sensor from the exhaust manifold.

      Note

      If the air fuel ratio sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

  10. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Sensor 2)

      Disengage the 3 wire harness clamps.

    2. B0043X0N01

      Using SST, remove the air fuel ratio sensor from the exhaust manifold.

      If the air fuel ratio sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.
