PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:C1A62

DTC Code DTC Name
C1A62 Brake Control Signal Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) receives brake control request signals from the pre-collision city sensor. When the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) determines that there is a malfunction in the request signal from the pre-collision city sensor, the ECU sends a brake control malfunction signal to the pre-collision city sensor. This DTC is stored when the pre-collision city sensor receives a malfunction signal.

Both of the following conditions are met:

  1. All of the following conditions are met:

    • 3 seconds have elapsed since the ignition switch was turned on (IG).

    • The battery voltage is 10 V or more for 3 seconds or more.

  2. Both of the following conditions are met for 1 second or more:

    • Communication between the pre-collision city sensor and skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) is normal.

    • The pre-collision city sensor receives a brake system malfunction signal from the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly).

  • Vehicle stability control system

  • Skid control ECU (Brake actuator assembly)

  • Pre-collision city sensor

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

  • When replacing the pre-collision city sensor, replace it with a new one and be sure to initialize the settings. If a pre-collision city sensor which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the pre-collision city sensor will not match the information from the vehicle and, as a result, a DTC may be stored.

  • If the pre-collision city sensor has been replaced, or the windshield glass has been replaced or removed/installed, be sure to perform Pre-collision City Sensor Learning Click here.

  • First check the CAN communication system by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting. After checking that there are no malfunctions in the CAN communication system, proceed with troubleshooting Click here.
