SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE BOX PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Remove the box panel sub-assembly Click here.

2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH

   Click here

3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH

   Click here

4. REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY

   Click here

5. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Audio)

   Click here

6. REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Audio)

   Click here

7. REMOVE STEREO OPENING COVER WITH BRACKET (w/o Audio)

   Click here

8. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY

   Click here

9. REMOVE SHIFTING HOLE COVER

   Click here

10. REMOVE LOWER CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL

    Click here

11. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX INSERT

    Click here

12. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX INSERT

    Click here

13. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL

    Click here

14. DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

    
    

    1.

       *1	Select Cable
       *2	Shift Cable

       Disconnect the control shift cable from the shift lever assembly.

    2. Pinch the areas indicated by the arrows and disconnect the control select cable.

    3. 

       Detach the 2 claws and disconnect the control cable assembly.

15. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY

    
    

    1. 

       Remove the 4 nuts and shift lever assembly.
