HEADUP DISPLAY REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

PROCEDURE

1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM (w/ Cool Box)

2. DISABLE AUTOAWAY/RETURN FUNCTION

   
   

   1. Disable the autoaway/return function by changing the customize parameter Click here.

      CAUTION:

      Record the current customize parameter setting (whether the autoaway/return function is enabled or disabled) in order to restore the current setting after finishing the operation.

      Tech Tips

      Performing the above operation causes the autoaway/return function to be disabled when the engine switch is turned off.

   2. Turn the engine switch on (IG). Operate the tilt and telescopic switch to fully extend and lower the steering column assembly.

   3. Turn the engine switch off.

3. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL

4. PRECAUTION

   Note

   After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

5. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

   CAUTION:

   Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

   Note

   When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

6. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD ASSEMBLY

7. REMOVE CENTER HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT

   Click here

8. REMOVE NO. 1 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY

   Click here

9. REMOVE METER MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY (HEADUP DISPLAY)

   

   
   

   1. Remove the cushion.

   2. 

      Remove the 3 bolts.

   3. Disconnect the connector and remove the meter mirror sub-assembly (headup display).
