BRAKE PEDAL(for RHD) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH

    Click here

  6. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL

    Click here

  7. REMOVE DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  8. REMOVE NO. 2 CONNECTOR HOLDER

      Disconnect the connector from the No. 2 connector holder.

      Disconnect the wire harness clamp from the brake pedal support assembly.

    3. Detach the 2 claws (A) of the No. 2 connector holder.

    4. Unlock the claw (B), and then pull the No. 2 connector holder towards you to remove it.

  9. REMOVE PUSH ROD PIN

      Remove the clip and push rod pin from the brake pedal lever.

  10. REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the stop light switch connector.

    2. Remove the stop light switch Click here.

  11. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT ASSEMBLY

      Loosen the hexagon bolt.

      Tech Tips

      Hold the bolt in place and loosen the nut.

      Note

      Only loosen the nut. Do not remove the bolt or nut.

    2. Remove the bolt from the brake pedal support reinforcement.

      Remove the 4 nuts and brake pedal support assembly.
