  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT

  3. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH

  4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery negative (-) terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER RH

  7. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH

  8. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH

  9. REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL

  10. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  11. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY

  12. REMOVE COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK RH (for LHD)


    1. A000STR

      w/ VGRS System:


      1. Disconnect the 5 connectors.

      2. Using a clip remover, detach the 2 clamps.

    2. A000SSO

      w/o VGRS System:


      1. Disconnect the connector.

      2. Using a clip remover, detach the clamp.

    3. A000S23

      Disconnect the 4 connectors.

    4. A000O6L

      Remove the bolt and nut.

    5. Remove the cowl side junction block RH from the reinforcement.

    6. A000OWQ

      Disconnect the 2 connectors and remove the cowl side junction block RH.

  13. REMOVE COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK LH (for RHD)

  14. REMOVE ECU INTEGRATION BOX RH (for LHD)


    1. A000PJG

      Disconnect all the connectors.

    2. A000SJ5

      Remove the 2 nuts, bolt and ECU integration box RH.

  15. REMOVE ECU INTEGRATION BOX LH


    1. A000REA

      Disconnect all the connectors.

    2. A000MZX

      Remove the 2 nuts, bolt and ECU integration box LH.

  16. REMOVE POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU


    1. A000RTX

      for LHD:


      1. Detach 2 claws and remove the power management control ECU.

    2. A000P1Q

      for RHD:


      1. Detach 2 claws and remove the power management control ECU.
