DESCRIPTION

The ABS main relay supplies power to the changeover solenoid and the linear solenoid.

The ABS main relay remains on for approximately 2 minutes after the power switch is turned off and the input of brake pedal operation signals stops, and supplies power to the system to keep it ready to operate.

Either of the following is detected:


  1. Relay contact is off (BS01 terminal is less than 3.5 V) for at least 0.2 seconds when +BI1 terminal voltage is 7.9 V or more and ABS main relay 1 is on.

  2. +BI1 terminal voltage is less than 7.9 V and ABS main relay 1 cannot be on for at least 0.2 seconds when ABS main relay 1 is turned on (BS01 terminal is 3.5 V or more).

  • ABS main relay 1 circuit

  • Skid control ECU assembly
C1312 3 Relay contact is on (BS01 terminal is 6.5 V or more) for at least 1 second when ABS main relay 1 is off. ↑
C1313 4

Either of the following is detected:


  1. Relay contact is off (BS02 terminal is less than 3.5 V) for at least 0.2 seconds when +BI2 terminal voltage is 7.9 V or more and ABS main relay 2 is on.

  2. +BI2 terminal voltage is less than 7.9 V and ABS main relay 2 cannot be on for at least 2 seconds when ABS main relay 2 is turned on (BS02 terminal is 3.5 V or more).

  • ABS main relay 2 circuit

  • Skid control ECU assembly
C1314 6 Relay contact is on (BS02 terminal is 6.5 V or more) for at least 1 second when ABS main relay 2 is off. ↑

  • When replacing the skid control ECU assembly, perform initialization and calibration of the linear solenoid valve Click here.

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY (+BI TERMINAL)


    1. Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connectors.

    2. Disconnect the skid control ECU assembly connectors.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  2. RECONFIRM DTC


    1. Reconnect the skid control ECU assembly connectors.

    2. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    3. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    4. Check if the same DTC is output Click here.
