AUTOMATIC HIGH BEAM SYSTEM Automatic High Beam Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) detects auto high beam switch signals. The automatic high beam system can be turned on and off by operating the integration control and panel assembly (automatic high beam switch).

Before replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), refer to Service Bulletin.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

  2. INSPECT INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY (AUTOMATICHIGH BEAM SWITCH)


    1. Remove the integration control and panel assembly (automatic high beam switch) Click here.

    2. Inspect the integration control and panel assembly (automatic high beam switch) Click here.

      OK
      Integration control and panel assembly (automatic high beam switch) is normal.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the N13 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    2. Disconnect the N6 integration control and panel assembly (automatic high beam switch) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N6-7 (+B) - N13-17 (AHBI) Always Below 1 Ω
      N6-7 (+B) or N13-17 (AHBI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      N6-8 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
