DESCRIPTION

The DTC is stored when the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH detects malfunctions in the rear height control sensor LH power source or rear height control sensor LH.

Note


  • Before performing this inspection, check that the rear height control sensor sub-assembly LH is installed correctly.

  • If the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH has been replaced, it is necessary to synchronize the vehicle information and initialize the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH Click here.

  • If any of the following are performed, it is necessary to initialize the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.


    • Replacement of the rear height control sensor sub-assembly LH

    • Removal/installation of the rear height control sensor sub-assembly LH

    • Work that changes the vehicle height such as replacement of suspension components

  3. READ VALUE USING GTS (HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR)


    1. for Single Beam Headlight without AFS (Adaptive Front-lighting System):

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT ECU - REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR)


    1. Disconnect the B16 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the r1 rear height control sensor LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      B16-16 (SBR) - r1-3 (VCC) Always Below 1 Ω
      B16-17 (SHRL) - r1-2 (OUT) Always Below 1 Ω
      B16-15 (SGR) - r1-1 (GND) Always Below 1 Ω
      B16-16 (SBR) or r1-3 (VCC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      B16-17 (SHRL) or r1-2 (OUT) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      B16-15 (SGR) or r1-1 (GND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  5. INSPECT REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Remove the rear height control sensor LH Click here.
