DESCRIPTION

"Back door" refers to the luggage compartment door.

DTC B2251 is output when there is a malfunction in the half-latch switch of the luggage compartment door lock assembly.

  1. CLEAR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here

      DTC B2251 is not output.

  3. READ VALUE USING GTS (HALF LATCH SW)


    1. Check the Data List for proper functioning of the luggage closer motor assembly Click here.

      • When this item is abnormal, there is a problem with the half-latch switch of the luggage compartment door lock assembly or related parts.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LUGGAGE CLOSER MOTOR - LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK)


    1. Disconnect the U33 luggage closer motor connector.

    2. Disconnect the a9 luggage compartment door lock connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      U33-7 (HAF) - a9-6 (FSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      U33-21 (SWG) - a9-7 (E) Always Below 1 Ω
      U33-7 (HAF) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      U33-21 (SWG) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  5. REPLACE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. Temporarily replace the luggage compartment door lock with a new or normally functioning one Click here.
