FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY


    1. A000NK2N02

      Engage the guide to temporarily install the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assembly with the 2 bolts.

    2. Fully tighten the bolt <A> first, then the bolt <B> to install the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assembly.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT BELT RETRACTOR COVER LH


    1. Install the front seat belt retractor cover LH so that the arrow on the bottom points upwards.

  3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

      *1 Pretensioner Connector

      Temporarily install the front seat outer belt assembly LH with the 2 bolts.

    2. Fully tighten the bolt <A> first, then the bolt <B> to install the front seat outer belt assembly.

      Torque:
      Bolt <A>
      12.5 N*m  { 127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }
      Bolt <B>
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

    3. Connect the pretensioner connector and lock the locking button as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Securely lock the locking button.

    4. Connect the connector (w/o Pre-crash Safety System) or 2 connectors (w/ Pre-crash Safety System).

    5. Connect the shoulder anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly with the nut.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL UPPER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH

  5. INSTALL LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH

  6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  7. CONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Operate the power seat switch assembly and move the front seat assembly so that the nut for the anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly LH can be installed.

      *1 Protruding Part

      Connect the anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly LH with the nut.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not allow the anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly LH to overlap the protruding part of the front seat assembly.

    3. Attach the 6 hooks to install the seat belt anchor cover cap LH.

    4. Check it the ELR locks.

      Note

      The check should be performed with the outer belt assembly installed.


      1. With the belt assembly installed, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.
