TOYOTA PARKING ASSIST-SENSOR SYSTEM(w/ Multi-display) Reverse Signal Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The clearance warning ECU receives a reverse shift position signal from the park/neutral position switch assembly*1 or back-up light switch assembly*2.

  1. CHECK CLEARANCE WARNING ECU

      Disconnect the clearance warning ECU connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Remove the park/neutral position switch assembly.


    2. Inspect the park/neutral position switch assembly.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH - CLEARANCE WARNING ECU AND BATTERY)


    1. Disconnect the C40 park/neutral position switch assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the I1*1 or G154*2 clearance warning ECU connector.


      • *1: for 4 Sensor Type

      • *2: for 8 Sensor Type

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY - CLEARANCE WARNING ECU AND BATTERY)


    1. Disconnect the C41 back-up light switch assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the I1*1 or G154*2 clearance warning ECU connector.


      • *1: for 4 Sensor Type

      • *2: for 8 Sensor Type

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
