OIL COOLER(for 2TR-FE) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 OIL COOLER INLET TUBE AND NO. 1 OIL COOLER OUTLET TUBE

    Note

    When disconnecting the hoses from the tube, support the tube by hand and be careful to prevent the tube from being deformed.

    Tech Tips

    Use a container to catch any ATF.

      Disconnect the No. 1 oil cooler inlet tube and No. 1 oil cooler outlet tube from the automatic transmission assembly.

    2. B001FLM

      Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 1 oil cooler inlet hose and No. 1 oil cooler outlet hose from the No. 1 oil cooler inlet tube and No. 1 oil cooler outlet tube.

    3. Remove the bolt and flexible hose clamp from the automatic transmission assembly.

    4. Remove the 2 bolts to open the 2 oil cooler tube clamps and remove the No. 1 oil cooler inlet tube and No. 1 oil cooler outlet tube.

    5. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 oil cooler tube clamps from the engine assembly.

  5. REMOVE OIL COOLER HOSE

    Note

    When disconnecting the hoses from the tube, support the tube by hand and be careful to prevent the tube from being deformed.

      Slide the 2 clips and remove the No. 1 oil cooler inlet hose and No. 1 oil cooler outlet hose from the oil cooler tube sub-assembly.

    2. B001HVC

      Detach the claw to open the No. 1 flexible hose clamp.

    3. Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 1 transmission oil cooler hose and No. 2 transmission oil cooler hose from the oil cooler tube sub-assembly.

    4. Slide the 2 clips and remove the No. 1 transmission oil cooler hose and No. 2 transmission oil cooler hose from the radiator.

  6. REMOVE OIL COOLER TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 bolts, 2 flexible hose clamps, No. 2 oil cooler inlet tube and No. 2 oil cooler outlet tube.

      Remove the 2 bolts and 2 oil cooler tube clamps.
