Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for LHD and RHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL NETWORK GATEWAY ECU


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the network gateway ECU.

  2. INSTALL ECU INTEGRATION BOX LH (for RHD)


    1. Temporary set the ECU integration box LH to instrument panel reinforcement assembly.

    2. Install the ECU integration box LH with the 2 nuts and bolt.

    3. Attach the 2 clamps.

    4. Connect the 9 connectors.

  3. INSTALL ECU INTEGRATION BOX RH (for LHD)


    1. Temporary set the ECU integration box RH to instrument panel reinforcement assembly.

    2. Install the ECU integration box RH with the 2 nuts and bolt.

    3. Attach the 2 clamps.

    4. Connect the 9 connectors.

  4. INSTALL TELEPHONE TRANSCEIVER ASSEMBLY (for LHD, w/ Telematics Transceiver, w/o Double Door Lock)

  5. INSTALL TELEPHONE TRANSCEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH DOUBLE LOCK DOOR CONTROL RELAY ASSEMBLY (for LHD, w/ Telematics Transceiver, w/ Double Door Lock)


    1. Connect the 4 connectors.

    2. Install the telephone transceiver assembly with double lock door control relay assembly with the bolt and nut.

      Torque:
      Bolt
      12.5 N*m  { 127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }
      Nut
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

  6. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER RELAY ASSEMBLY (for LHD, Auto Wiper)

  7. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  8. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY

  9. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL ORNAMENT

  10. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH

  11. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH


    1. Install the front door opening trim weatherstrip RH.

  12. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  13. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH

  15. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
