DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when LIN communication between the multiplex network master Switch assembly and main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) stops for 10 seconds or more.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

When using the GTS with the ignition switch off to troubleshoot:

Connect the GTS to the vehicle, and turn a courtesy switch on and off at 1.5 second intervals until communication between the GTS and vehicle begins.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU [MULTIPLEX NETWORKBODY ECU] - MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTERSWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the A main body ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the I11*1 or I22*2 multiplex network master switch connector.


      • *1: for LHD

      • *2: for RHD

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the tables below.

      Standard Resistance
      for LHD
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A-16 (LIN2) - I11-17 (LIN1) Always Below 1 Ω
      A-16 (LIN2) or I11-17 (LIN1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      for RHD
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A-16 (LIN2) - I22-17 (LIN1) Always Below 1 Ω
      A-16 (LIN2) or I22-17 (LIN1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Disconnect the I11*1 or I22*2 multiplex network master switch connector.


      • *1: for LHD

    2. Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the tables below.

  5. REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Temporarily replace the multiplex network master switch with a new or normally functioning one Click here.

    1. Disconnect the 2J cowl side junction block LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the I11*1 or I22*2 multiplex network master switch connector.


      • *1: for LHD

      • *2: for RHD

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the tables below.

      Standard Resistance
      for LHD
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      2J-13 - I11-17 (LIN1) Always Below 1 Ω
      2J-13 or I11-17 (LIN1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      for RHD
