DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when LIN communication between the rear power window regulator motor RH and main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) stops for 10 seconds or more.

Note


  • When using the GTS with the ignition switch off to troubleshoot:

    Connect the GTS to the vehicle, and turn a courtesy switch on and off at 1.5 second intervals until communication between the GTS and vehicle begins.

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU [MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU] - REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Disconnect the A main body ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the J4 motor connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A-16 (LIN2) - J4-9 (LIN) Always Below 1 Ω
      A-16 (LIN2) or J4-9 (LIN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

      Disconnect the J4 motor connector.

    2. Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the tables below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J4-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J4-2 (B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

  5. REPLACE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Temporarily replace the rear power window regulator motor RH with a new or normally functioning one Click here.

    2. Clear the DTC Click here.

    1. Disconnect the 2J cowl side junction block LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the J4 motor connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the tables below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      2J-13 - J4-9 (LIN) Always Below 1 Ω
      2J-13 or J4-9 (LIN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
