ROOF HEADLINING INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY (w/o Sliding Roof)


    1. B001N81

      Put the roof headlining assembly into the vehicle through the back door.

      Note

      Do not damage the roof headlining assembly or vehicle interior.

    2. Install the 3 clips.

    3. for Roof Side:


      1. w/ Television Antenna Assembly:


        1. Connect the connector.

    4. for Rear Pillar RH Side:


      1. Connect each connector.

    5. for Front Pillar LH Side:


      1. Remove the protective cover.

      2. Engage the 3 clamps and connect the 2 connectors.

      3. Install the protective cover.

    6. for Front Pillar RH Side:


      1. w/ Radio Receiver:


        1. Remove the protective cover.

        2. Engage the 3 clamps and connect each connector.

        3. Install the protective cover.

    7. for Windshield Glass Side:


      1. w/ Rain Sensor:


        1. Connect the connector.

      2. w/ Pre-collision System:


        1. Connect the 2 connectors.

      3. w/ EC Mirror:


        1. Connect the connector.

      4. w/ Humidity Sensor:


        1. Connect the connector.

  2. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY (w/ Sliding Roof)

      Put the roof headlining assembly into the vehicle through the back door.

      Note

      Do not damage the roof headlining assembly or vehicle interior.

    2. Install the 3 clips.

    3. for Roof Side:


      1. Connect each connector.

    4. for Rear Pillar RH Side:


      1. Connect each connector.

    5. for Front Pillar LH Side:


      1. Remove the protective cover.

      2. Engage the 3 clamps and connect the 2 connectors.

      3. Install the protective cover.

    6. for Front Pillar RH Side:


      1. w/ Radio Receiver:


        1. Remove the protective cover.

        2. Engage the 3 clamps and connect each connector.

        3. Install the protective cover.

    7. for Windshield Glass Side:


      1. w/ Rain Sensor:


        1. Connect the connector.

      2. w/ Pre-collision System:


        1. Connect the 2 connectors.

      3. w/ EC Mirror:


        1. Connect the connector.

      4. w/ Humidity Sensor:


        1. Connect the connector.

  3. INSTALL VISOR HOLDER

      Engage the 2 claws.

    2. Install the visor holder as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the other visor holder.

  4. INSTALL SLIDING ROOF OPENING TRIM MOULDING (w/ Sliding Roof)

      Align the alignment mark (green) on the moulding with the notch of the roof headlining to install the sliding roof opening trim moulding.

      Note

      After installation, check that the corners fit correctly.

  5. INSTALL VISOR ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Install the visor assembly LH with the 2 screws.

  6. INSTALL VISOR BRACKET COVER (for LH Side)

      Engage the 4 claws to install the visor bracket cover LH.

  7. INSTALL VISOR ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  8. INSTALL VISOR BRACKET COVER (for RH Side)

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  9. INSTALL ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Assemble the assist grip sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Install the assist grip sub-assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the other 3 assist grip sub-assemblies.

      Install a new back door weatherstrip so that the alignment marks, joint and sections indicated by the arrows, are aligned as shown in the illustration.

      Note

  18. INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY

  19. INSTALL ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Pass the floor anchor of the rear seat outer belt assembly LH through the roof side inner garnish LH.

    2. Engage the 8 clips to install the roof side inner garnish assembly LH.

    4. Engage the 3 claws to connect the belt guide.

  20. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Engage the 4 claws and 3 clips.

    2. Install the deck trim side panel assembly LH with the 3 screws.

  21. CONNECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

  22. INSTALL TONNEAU COVER HOLDER CAP (for LH Side)

      Engage the guide.

    2. Engage the claw to install the tonneau cover holder cap.

  23. INSTALL TONNEAU COVER HOOK (for LH Side)

      Engage the 2 claws and pin to install the tonneau cover hook.

  24. INSTALL LUGGAGE HOLD BELT STRIKER ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)


    1. Engage the guide.

    2. Install the luggage hold belt striker assembly with the bolt.

  25. INSTALL ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)

      Install the rope hook assembly with the bolt.

    2. Engage the 2 claws.

  26. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH


    1. Engage the 6 claws.

    2. Install the rear seat side garnish LH with the clip.

  34. INSTALL ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)

  35. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH

  36. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE COVER RH


    1. Engage the 3 claws and 2 clips to install the rear seat side cover RH.

  37. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR UPPER GARNISH LH


    1. Pass the floor anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly LH through the center pillar upper garnish LH.

    2. Engage the 2 clips.

    3. Install the center pillar upper garnish LH with the screw.

  38. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH LH


    1. Engage the 4 claws and 2 clips to install the center pillar lower garnish LH.

  39. CONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

  41. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

      Align the alignment mark (purple) on the weatherstrip with the protruding portion on the vehicle body indicated by the arrow in the illustration, and install the rear door opening trim weatherstrip LH.

      Note

      After installation, check that the corners fit correctly.

  42. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH


    1. Engage the 4 claws, 2 guides and 2 clips to install the rear door scuff plate LH.

  43. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH


    1. Remove the protective cover.

      Make sure that the front pillar garnish clip is not damaged.

      Note


      • If there is any damage, replace the garnish clip with a new one.

      • When a garnish clip is being replaced, make sure to install it in the direction shown in the illustration.

    3. Engage the 2 guides by moving the garnish in the direction indicated by the arrow (1).

    4. Turn the end of the front pillar garnish clip 90° with needle-nosed pliers and install it to the front pillar garnish LH.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the tips of the needle-nosed pliers before use.

      Engage the 2 clips to install the front pillar garnish LH.

  44. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

      Align the alignment mark (orange) on the weatherstrip with the protruding portion on the vehicle body indicated by the arrow in the illustration, and install the front door opening trim weatherstrip LH.

      Note

      After installation, check that the corners fit correctly.

  45. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Engage the claw and clip.

      Note


      • Be sure to engage the clip securely.

      • If there is any damage, replace the garnish clip with a new one.

    2. Install the cowl side trim sub-assembly LH with the clip.

  46. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

    1. Engage the 4 claws, 2 guides and 4 clips to install the front door scuff plate LH.

    CAUTION:

    for RHD models:

    Make sure that the cowl side trim sub-assembly RH is securely installed. if the cowl side trim sub-assembly RH is not installed correctly, there is a possibility that it may interfere with the accelerator pedal.

  64. INSTALL TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Tonneau Cover)


    1. Install the tonneau cover assembly.

  65. INSTALL DECK FLOOR BOX LH (w/o Woofer)


    1. Engage the 6 guides.

    2. Install the deck floor box LH with the clip.

  66. INSTALL REAR NO. 4 FLOOR BOARD (w/o Woofer)


    1. Install the rear No. 4 floor board.

  67. INSTALL REAR NO. 4 FLOOR BOARD (w/ Woofer)


    1. Engage the 2 clips and 3 guides to install the rear No. 4 floor board.
