CONDENSER REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM (for HFC-134a(R134a))

  3. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM (for HFO-1234yf(R1234yf))

  4. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD

    Click here

  5. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX

    Click here

  6. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD

  7. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH

  8. REMOVE REAR FLOOR BOARD UPPER NO. 3 PLATE

  9. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  10. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY

  11. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)

  12. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/o Engine Hood Courtesy Switch)

  13. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch)

  14. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT RETAINER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 3 bolts and cool air intake duct retainer sub-assembly.

  15. REMOVE HIGH PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY

  16. REMOVE LOW PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  17. REMOVE HOOD LOCK SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  18. DISCONNECT COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the cooler refrigerant discharge hose.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the cooler refrigerant discharge hose.

      Note

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

  19. DISCONNECT AIR CONDITIONING TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

      Note

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

  20. DISCONNECT NO. 5 INVERTER COOLING HOSE

      Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the No. 5 inverter cooling hose.

      Note


      • Do not apply excessive force to the No. 5 inverter cooling hose.

      • Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.

  21. DISCONNECT NO. 1 INVERTER COOLING HOSE

      Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the No. 1 inverter cooling hose.

      Note


      • Do not apply excessive force to the No. 1 inverter cooling hose.

      • Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.

  22. REMOVE NO. 1 INVERTER BRACKET

  24. REMOVE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the cooler condenser assembly with hybrid radiator assembly.

    2. B001NBM

      Remove the 4 bolts and cooler condenser assembly from the hybrid radiator assembly.
