A buzzer sounds to alert the driver when the vehicle-to-vehicle distance becomes less than the set value.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (SKID CONTROL BUZZER)


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRC / Active Test / DSS Signal Buzzer.

    5. Perform the Active Test.

  2. CHECK WHETHER DTC OUTPUT RECURS (DTC C1A4A)


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    4. Perform the following to make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      Tech Tips

      If the detection conditions are not met, the malfunction cannot be detected.


      1. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 50 km/h (30 mph) and 170 km/h (105 mph).

      2. Turn the cruise control switch (ON-OFF button) on.

      3. Push the -/SET switch to activate the cruise control.

    5. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Radar Cruise / DTC.

    6. Read the DTCs.

  3. REPLACE DRIVING SUPPORT ECU ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the driving support ECU assembly Click here.

  4. CHECK WHETHER DTC OUTPUT RECURS (DTC C1A4A)


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    4. Perform the following to make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

    1. Replace the brake booster with master cylinder (skid control ECU) (See page for LHD, Click here for RHD).
