DESCRIPTION

The multi-display assembly and radio receiver assembly are connected via AVC-LAN communication line.

This DTC is stored when an AVC-LAN communication error occurs between the multi-display assembly and radio receiver assembly.

  1. CHECK OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING)


    1. Check for optional components.


      1. Check that optional components (including associated wiring) which generate radio waves are not installed.

        Tech Tips


        • Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect AVC-LAN communication.

        • This DTC may be stored when an AVC-LAN communication error occurs due to electrical noise.

  2. REMOVE OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING)


    1. Remove optional components (including associated wiring).

      Note

      Do not remove optional components or associated wiring without the permission of the customer.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY POWER SOURCE)


    1. Disconnect the H160 multi-display assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      H160-13 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      H160-12 (B) - H160-13 (GND) Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      H160-24 (ACC) - H160-13 (GND) Power switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the H166 radio receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the H160 multi-display assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H166-11 (TX4+) - H160-7 (TX+) Always Below 1 Ω
      H166-12 (TX4-) - H160-19 (TX-) Always Below 1 Ω
      H166-11 (TX4+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H166-12 (TX4-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  6. REPLACE MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the multi-display assembly with a new or known good one Click here.

    2. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.
