BRAKE BOOSTER PUMP REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER WITH MASTER CYLINDER ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

  3. DISABLE BRAKE CONTROL (for RHD)

    Click here

  4. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 HEATER AIR DUCT SPLASH SHIELD SEAL (for RHD)

    Click here

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER AIR DUCT SPLASH SHIELD SEAL (for RHD)

    Click here

  7. REMOVE COWL BODY MOUNTING REINFORCEMENT RH (for RHD)

    Click here

  8. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

    Click here

  9. REMOVE SUSPENSION TOWER DAMPER (for RHD with Suspension Tower Damper)

    Click here

  10. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID (for RHD)

    Click here

  11. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  12. REMOVE FRONT NO. 4 BRAKE TUBE (for LHD)

      Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the front No. 4 brake tube from the front flexible hose.

    2. Remove the bolt.

      Disengage the clamp and remove the front No. 4 brake tube from the brake actuator bracket assembly.

  13. SEPARATE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR WITH BRACKET (for RHD)

      Remove the 2 bolts and nut, and separate the reservoir tube assembly.

      Disengage the 2 clamps.

    3. Remove the 2 nuts and separate the brake master cylinder reservoir with bracket.

  14. DISCONNECT BRAKE ACTUATOR HOSE (for RHD)

      Move the clip and disconnect the brake actuator hose from the brake booster pump assembly.

  15. REMOVE NO. 5 BRAKE ACTUATOR BRACKET (for RHD)

      Remove the 2 nuts and No. 5 brake actuator bracket.

    2. Separate the wire harness clamp.

  16. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER PUMP ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET

      Disconnect the 2 connectors and separate the clamp from the brake booster pump assembly.

      *2 No. 1 Brake Tube Clamp
      *3 Front No. 1 Brake Tube

      Remove the 2 bolts, No. 1 brake tube clamp and No. 1 brake tube clamp bracket.

    3. Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the front No. 1 brake tube from the brake booster pump assembly.

      for RHD:

      Disengage the clamp to separate the front No. 4 brake tube.

    5. Separate the wire harness clamp and 2 fuel lines from the brake actuator bracket assembly.

      Note

      Do not kink or damage the fuel lines.

      Remove the 3 nuts and brake booster pump assembly with bracket.

  17. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER PUMP ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 nuts, 2 brake traction actuator bracket bushings, 2 brake actuator case collars and brake booster pump assembly from the brake actuator bracket assembly.
