DESCRIPTION
When the wheelbase information in the EEPROM of the multi-media module receiver assembly and the wheelbase information received from the AFS ECU via CAN communication do not match, this DTC is output.
If a multi-media module receiver assembly or AFS ECU is installed into a vehicle with a different wheelbase, this DTC is output and "System Initializing" is displayed.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
Note
When "System initializing" is displayed on the multi-media module receiver assembly after the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal, correct the steering angle neutral point Click here.
Depending on the parts that are replaced or operations that are performed during vehicle inspection or maintenance, calibration of other systems as well as the parking assist monitor system may be needed Click here.

Tech Tips
If DTC C168D is output, perform the television camera optical axis adjustment and steering angle setting again.
If DTC C1698 is still output after performing the television camera optical axis adjustment and steering angle setting 3 times, replace the multi-media module receiver assembly.
