PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY (TILT STEERING GEAR ASSEMBLY WITH MOTOR)

  2. INSTALL NO. 2 STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT ASSEMBLY

  3. INSTALL STEERING SLIDING WITH SHAFT YOKE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      *a Matchmark

      Align the matchmarks on the No. 2 steering intermediate shaft assembly and steering sliding with shaft yoke.

    2. Align the matchmarks on the steering sliding with shaft yoke and power steering link.

    3. Temporarily install bolt B.

      Note

      Do not tighten the bolt.

      Install bolt A and tighten bolt B.

      Torque:
      35 N*m  { 360 kgf*cm, 26 ft.*lbf }

  4. PLACE FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD

  5. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  6. INSTALL NO. 1 LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

  7. INSTALL TURN SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  8. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER (w/ Driver Monitor Camera)

  9. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER (w/o Driver Monitor Camera)

  10. ADJUST SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  11. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY

  12. INSPECT STEERING WHEEL CENTER POINT

  13. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    Reset the AUTO TILT AWAY function setting to the previous condition by changing the customize parameter Click here.

  14. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER

    Click here

  15. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT

    Click here

  16. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.
