VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM TC and CG Terminal Circuit

DESCRIPTION

Connecting terminals TC and CG of the DLC3 causes the ECU to display the DTC by blinking the ABS warning light and slip indicator light.

  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION LINE


    1. Check if CAN communication system DTCs are output Click here.

  2. INSPECT DLC3

      Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H23-13 (TC) - H23-4 (CG) Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V

  3. REPLACE ECM

    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    2. Replace the ECM.

      Using SST, connect terminals 13 (TC) and 4 (CG) of the DLC3.

    4. Check that the ABS warning and slip indicator lights are blinking.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TC of DLC3 - ECM)


    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. for 1KD-FTV (w/o DPF):


      1. Disconnect the B72 ECM connector.

    3. for 1KD-FTV (w/ DPF):


      1. Disconnect the B73 ECM connector.

    4. for 2KD-FTV:


      1. Disconnect the B88 ECM connector.

    5. for 1TR or 2TR-FE (w/ Dual VVT-i):


      1. Disconnect the B94 ECM connector.

    6. for 2TR-FE (except Dual VVT-i):


      1. Disconnect the B71 ECM connector.

    7. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      for 1KD-FTV (w/o DPF):
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      B72-26 (TC) - H23-13 (TC) Always Below 1 Ω
      B72-26 (TC) or H23-13 (TC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      for 1KD-FTV (w/ DPF):
