OIL COOLER REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    CAUTION:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  3. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER

  4. REMOVE BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  5. REMOVE BATTERY

  6. REMOVE BATTERY TRAY

  7. DISCONNECT RADIATOR PIPE

      Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the radiator pipe from the battery carrier.

  8. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

    Click here

  10. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH

    Click here

  11. DRAIN CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE FLUID

    Click here

  12. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

  13. DISCONNECT WATER BY-PASS HOSE

      Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the 2 water by-pass hoses from the transmission oil cooler.

  14. REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER


    1. A0054P0

      Remove the 3 bolts and transmission oil cooler from the continuously variable transaxle assembly.

    2. Remove the 2 O-rings from the transmission oil cooler.
