DESCRIPTION

When the lane keeping assist system operates, the driving support ECU sends a signal to the power steering ECU to operate the power steering motor.

C1A70 When the vehicle speed is 48 km/h (30 mph) or more with the lane-keeping assist main switch on, a power steering system malfunction signal is received by the driving support ECU.

      Tech Tips

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.


      1. Drive the vehicle at a 50 km/h (31 mph) or more, and operate lane-keeping assist system.
