THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:B2769, B276A

DTC Code DTC Name
B2769 Tilt Sensor Signal Circuit Malfunction
B276A Short to GND in Tilt Sensor Signal Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The yaw rate sensor assembly conducts a self-diagnosis immediately after power is supplied to the sensor (when the theft deterrent system is set).

If a malfunction is detected in the CSIF-GCS line, the main body ECU stores DTC B2769.

DTC B276A is stored when terminal CSIF of the yaw rate sensor assembly has not received a signal for 5 seconds or more.

DTC Code DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
B2769

After a normal/trouble signal is output from the yaw rate sensor assembly as a result of self-diagnosis, following malfunctions are detected:

  • The CSIF-GCS line circuit is open.

  • Reception of signals other than a normal/trouble signal.

  • Yaw rate sensor assembly

  • Main body ECU

  • Harness or connector

B276A Terminal CSIF of the yaw rate sensor assembly has not received a signal for 5 seconds or more.
  • Yaw rate sensor assembly

  • Main body ECU

  • Harness or connector

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (YAW RATE SENSOR - MAIN BODY ECU)

    1. Disconnect the G52 sensor connector.

    2. Disconnect the G63 ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G52-5 (CSIF) - G63-6 (GCS) Always Below 1 Ω
G52-5 (CSIF) or G63-6 (GCS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
