TRANSFER ADAPTER OIL SEAL REPLACEMENT


  1. REMOVE MANUAL TRANSMISSION UNIT ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the manual transmission unit Click here.

  2. REMOVE TRANSFER ASSEMBLY

      *A for 1KD-FTV, RA61F
      *B for 1KD-FTV, A750F

      for 1KD-FTV:

      Remove the 8 bolts and 2 brackets.

    2. A01DTL5

      except 1KD-FTV:

      Remove the 8 bolts and bracket.

    3. Remove the transfer from the transmission.

  3. REMOVE TRANSFER ADAPTER OIL SEAL

    1. Using SST, tap out the oil seal.

      SST
      09308-00010

  4. INSTALL TRANSFER ADAPTER OIL SEAL

    A01DNTPE01

    1. Coat the lip of a new oil seal with MP grease.

    2. Using SST and a hammer, tap in the oil seal.

      SST
      09223-00010
      Standard depth
      45.4 to 46.4 mm (1.787 to 1.827 in.)

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the lip of the oil seal.

  5. INSTALL TRANSFER ASSEMBLY


    1. for 1KD-FTV:

      Install the transfer assembly with the 8 bolts and 2 brackets.

      Torque:
      24 N*m  { 245 kgf*cm, 18 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Take care not to damage the adaptor rear oil seal with the transfer input gear spline.

    2. except 1KD-FTV:

      Install the transfer assembly with the 8 bolts and bracket.

      Torque:
      24 N*m  { 245 kgf*cm, 18 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Take care not to damage the adaptor rear oil seal with the transfer input gear spline.
