LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY (for Front Side) INSTALLATION

  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

  1. INSTALL LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Lumbar Support)


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the lumbar support adjuster assembly LH.

    2. Rotate the snap in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to attach the snap to the lumbar support adjuster assembly LH.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to attach the snap on the other side.

      Install the 4 bolts.

  2. INSTALL LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY RH (w/o Lumbar Support)


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the lumbar support adjuster assembly RH.

    2. Rotate the snap in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to attach the snap to the lumbar support adjuster assembly RH.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to attach the snap on the other side.

      Install the 2 bolts.

  3. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK FRAME ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01GJ8L

      Temporarily install the front seatback frame assembly LH with the 4 bolts.

    2. Push the front seatback frame assembly LH towards the rear, and tighten the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      43 N*m  { 439 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf }

    3. for Driver Side:

        w/ Active Headrest:

        Attach the 9 clamps and connect the 4 connectors.

        w/ Pre-crash Intelligent Headrest:

        Attach the 9 clamps and connect the 4 connectors.

    4. for Front Passenger Side:


      1. A01GKKC

        w/ Active Headrest:

        Attach the 9 clamps and connect the 3 connectors.

      2. A01GNWX

        w/ Pre-crash Intelligent Headrest:

        Attach the 9 clamps and connect the 3 connectors.

      3. A01GNKC

        w/ Retractable Headrest:

        Attach the 7 clamps and connect the 2 connectors.

  4. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD


    1. Set the front seatback cover with pad in place.

    2. A01GKQZ

      Attach the 9 hooks to install the front seatback cover with pad.

    3. Attach the 3 clips.

    4. A01GHW3

      Attach the front seatback cover bracket with the bolt.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

  5. INSTALL POWER SEAT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/ Shoulder Switch)


    1. Connect the connector.

      Attach the 2 claws to install the power seat switch assembly.

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT

    1. Attach the 4 claws to install the 2 front seat headrest supports.

  7. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. w/ Active Headrest, w/ Pre-crash Intelligent Headrest:


      1. A01GJZS

        Install the front seat headrest assembly with the 2 pins.

        Note

        w/ Active Headrest:

        When replacing a deployed active headrest inflator, always replace it together with the front seat headrest assembly.

    2. w/ Retractable Headrest:

      Install the front seat headrest assembly.

  8. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01GMK9E01

      Install the front seat cushion assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

    2. Attach the hook.

      Install the 2 clips.

      Connect the connector and attach the 2 wire harness clamps.

      Connect the connector and attach the wire harness clamp.

      Connect the connector and attach the wire harness clamp.

    8. Attach the 4 claws to connect duct of the seat climate control blower LH.

    9. A01GKHN

      Connect the connector.

    10. A01GIX7

      Connect the duct of the seat climate control blower LH with the 3 screws.

    11. A01GMM5

      Attach the 2 claws to install the No. 6 air duct.

  9. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Connect the connector and attach the wire harness clamp.

    2. Attach the 2 hooks to install the front seatback board sub-assembly LH.

    3. Install the 2 screws.

  10. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD LH

    1. Attach the claw to install the front seat inner cushion shield LH.

    2. Install the 3 screws.

  11. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Install the front seat inner belt assembly LH with the nut.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not allow the anchor part of the front seat inner belt assembly to overlap the protruding parts of the front seat adjuster.

    2. Attach the claw to connect the connector.

    3. Attach the 6 wire harness clamps.

    4. Connect the 2 connectors.

  12. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER NO. 1 CUSHION SHIELD LH (for Driver Side)

      Install the front seat inner No. 1 cushion shield LH with the 3 screws.

  13. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER NO. 1 CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Front Passenger Side)

      Install the front seat inner No. 1 cushion shield RH with the 3 screws.

  14. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

    1. Connect the 2 connectors.

    2. Attach the 2 claws to install the front seat cushion shield LH as indicated by the arrows in the order shown in the illustration.

    3. Install the 3 screws.

      Attach the rubber band of the front seatback board sub-assembly LH to the front seat adjuster assembly LH.

  15. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH
