BRAKE CONTROL POWER SUPPLY INSTALLATION

Note

While the battery is connected, even if the engine switch is off, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or the door courtesy switch turns on. Therefore during servicing of the brake system components, do not operate the brake pedal and open/close the doors while the battery is connected.


  1. INSTALL NO. 1 BRAKE CONTROL POWER SUPPLY BRACKET


    1. A01GIK8

      Install the 2 brackets with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      8.5 N*m  { 87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf }
  2. INSTALL BRAKE CONTROL POWER SUPPLY ASSEMBLY


    1. A01GK2A

      Connect the connector to the brake control power supply.

    2. Install the brake control power supply with the 3 nuts.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }
  3. INSTALL BRAKE CONTROL POWER SUPPLY COVER

      *a Double-sided Tape

      If the brake control power supply is replaced, install a new cover as follows:


      1. Peel off the peeling paper of the double-sided tape.

      2. Place the cover so that the 4 corner lines on the cover align with the corners of the brake control power supply, and so that the cover arrow is above the connector.

  5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  6. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER


    1. A01GM4S

      for LHD:

      Install the 6 clips and cowl top ventilator louver RH.

      Note

      If the cowl top ventilator louver RH is not properly installed, water may leak into the engine room and cause malfunctions. Therefore, make sure the cowl top ventilator louver RH is installed properly.

    2. A01GI9P

      for RHD:

      Install the 6 clips and cowl top ventilator louver LH.

      Note

      If the cowl top ventilator louver LH is not properly installed, water may leak into the engine room and cause malfunctions. Therefore, make sure the cowl top ventilator louver LH is installed properly.
