BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT (for LHD) REMOVAL

Note

While the battery is connected, even if the engine switch is off, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or the door courtesy switch turns on. Therefore during servicing of the brake system components, do not operate the brake pedal and open/close the doors while the battery is connected.

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH

      Remove the 6 clips and cowl top ventilator louver RH.

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY

  5. DISCONNECT CONNECTORS

      Disconnect the brake pedal stroke sensor connector (labeled A).

    2. Disconnect the stop light switch connector (labeled B), and then detach the wire harness clamp (labeled C).

  6. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL RETURN SPRING

      Remove the spring.

  7. REMOVE PUSH ROD PIN

      Remove the clip and push rod pin.

  8. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 4 nuts.

      *1 Brake Pedal Support

      Remove the 2 bolts and brake pedal support.
