REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedures for LHD and RHD vehicles.

  • The procedures listed below are for LHD vehicles.


  1. INSTALL REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY CENTER

    1. Align the seat belt positioning hole with the claw.

    2. Temporarily install the rear seat outer belt assembly center with the 2 bolts.

    3. Tighten the rear side bolt first, then the front side bolt to install the rear seat outer belt assembly center.

      Torque:
      for rear bolt
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }
      for front bolt
      7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Insert the claw of the retractor (a) into the hole.

    2. Align the seat belt positioning hole with the claw and install the retractor of the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly LH with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }
    3. A01GK7L

      Connect the pretensioner connector and lock the locking button as shown in the illustration.

    4. w/ Tension Reducer System:

      Connect the tension reducer connector.

  3. INSTALL REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY RH

    1. Insert the claw of the retractor (a) into the hole.

    2. Align the seat belt positioning hole with the claw and install the retractor of the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly RH with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }
    3. A01GNQ6

      Attach the wire harness clamp.

    4. Connect the pretensioner connector and lock the locking button as shown in the illustration.

    5. w/ Tension Reducer System:

      Connect the tension reducer connector.

  4. INSTALL NO. 4 AIR DUCT REAR (w/ Rear Cooler)


    1. Attach the 4 claws to install the rear No. 4 air duct.

  5. INSTALL NO. 5 AIR DUCT REAR (w/ Rear Cooler)


    1. Attach the 4 claws to install the rear No. 5 air duct.

  6. INSTALL ROOF SIDE NO. 2 AIR DUCT LH (w/ Rear Cooler)


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the roof side No. 2 air duct LH.

    2. Install the clip.

  7. INSTALL ROOF SIDE NO. 2 AIR DUCT RH (w/ Rear Cooler)


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the roof side No. 2 air duct RH.

    2. Install the clip.

  8. INSTALL PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY


    1. w/ Rear Cooler:

      Connect the solar sensor connector.

    2. except 4-Passenger with Ottoman:

      Pass the 3 rear seat belt floor anchors through the package tray trim panel assembly.

    3. for 4-Passenger with Ottoman:

      Pass the 2 rear seat belt floor anchors through the package tray trim panel assembly.

    4. Insert the rear part of the package tray trim panel assembly into the rear sunshade assembly.

    5. Attach the 2 clips to install the package tray trim panel assembly.

    6. except 4-Passenger with Ottoman:

      Attach the 4 claws to install the 3 belt guides.

    7. for 4-Passenger with Ottoman:

      Attach the 4 claws to install the 2 belt guides.

  9. INSTALL INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH LH

    1. Install a new clip A to the inner roof side garnish LH.

    2. Attach the 2 claws and 5 clips to install the inner roof side garnish LH.

  10. INSTALL INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH RH

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  11. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH


    1. Attach the 6 claws to install the rear seat side garnish LH.

  12. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  13. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

  15. INSTALL REAR SEAT CENTER ARMREST ASSEMBLY

  16. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Seat Type)

    Note

    Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.


    1. Set the bench type rear seatback assembly in place.

    2. A01GJ0TE02

      Connect the rear center armrest assembly connector.

    3. Attach the 2 hooks on the backside of the bench type rear seatback assembly.

    4. Install the 4 bolts and nut.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

      w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. Connect the connector.

      2. Install the junction block with the bolt.

        Torque:
        30 N*m  { 306 kgf*cm, 22 ft.*lbf }

      Attach the hook to the rear seat armrest hole board. Then attach the 2 clips to install the rear seat armrest hole board.

    7. A01GIIY

      While pressing the button, raise the rear center seat headrest assembly.

    8. Raise the rear center armrest assembly.

    9. A01GMP8

      Connect the rear seat outer belt to the rear seat shoulder belt guide.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to connect the rear seat outer belt on the other side.

    10. Attach the 2 claws to close the 2 caps of the rear seat shoulder belt guide.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to close the 2 caps on the other side.

      Connect the 2 seat belt anchors of the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly LH and rear seat 3 point type belt assembly RH with the 2 bolts and connect the seat belt anchor of the rear center seat outer belt assembly with the nut.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

  17. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH


    1. for Power Seat:

  18. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH

  19. INSTALL REAR SEAT CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (for 4-Passenger with Ottoman)


    1. Connect the connector.

    2. A01GKD3

      Move the rear seat console box assembly in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration, and attach the 2 clips. Then install it with the 6 bolts.

    3. Attach the 4 clips to install the rear seat console box front panel.

  20. INSTALL REAR SEAT LOWER CONSOLE BOX COVER (for 4-Passenger with Ottoman)


    1. Attach the 2 hooks and 4 claws to install the rear seat lower console box cover.

  21. CONNECT REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Connect the anchor part of the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly LH with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not allow the anchor part of the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly LH to overlap the protruding parts of the floor panel.

    2. Check if the ELR locks.

      Note

      The check should be performed with the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly LH installed.


      1. With the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly LH installed, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.

  22. CONNECT REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  23. CONNECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY CENTER

    1. for Power Seat, 5-Passenger with Ottoman:

      Connect the anchor part of the rear seat outer belt assembly center with the nut.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not allow the anchor part of the rear seat outer belt assembly center to overlap the protruding parts of the floor panel.

    2. A01GKV6E01

      for Fixed Seat Type:

      Connect the anchor part of the rear seat outer belt assembly center with the nut.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not allow the anchor part of the rear seat outer belt assembly center to overlap the protruding parts of the floor panel.

    3. Check if the ELR locks.

      Note

      The check should be performed with the outer belt assembly installed.


      1. With the rear seat outer belt assembly center installed, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.

  24. INSTALL REAR CENTER SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY


    1. for Power Seat:

  25. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Seat Type)

    Note

    Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.


    1. Set the bench type rear seat cushion assembly in place.

      *A w/ Seat Heater System

      w/ Seat Heater System:

      Connect the 2 connectors.

    3. Attach the 2 rear hooks of the bench type rear seat cushion assembly to the bench type rear seatback assembly.

    4. Attach the 3 front hooks to install the bench type rear seat cushion assembly.

    5. Confirm that the bench type rear seat cushion assembly is firmly installed.

      Note

      When installing the bench type rear seat cushion assembly, make sure the seat belt buckle is not under the bench type rear seat cushion assembly.

  28. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  29. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH


    1. A01GM4S

      for LHD:

      Install the 6 clips and cowl top ventilator louver RH.

      Note

      If the cowl top ventilator louver RH is not properly installed, water may leak into the engine room and cause malfunctions. Therefore, make sure the cowl top ventilator louver RH is installed properly.

    2. A01GI9P

      for RHD:

      Install the 6 clips and cowl top ventilator louver LH.

      Note

      If the cowl top ventilator louver LH is not properly installed, water may leak into the engine room and cause malfunctions. Therefore, make sure the cowl top ventilator louver LH is installed properly.
