    INSTALL FUEL FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01BHN5E01

      Attach 2 new O-rings to a new fuel filter element sub-assembly and a new O-ring to the fuel filter case sub-assembly.

    2. Install the fuel filter element sub-assembly to the fuel filter case sub-assembly.

    3. A01BD49E01

      Align the matchmark on the fuel filter cap assembly with the 2 matchmarks on the fuel filter case sub-assembly

    4. A01BCQGE01

      Turn the fastener nut until a 'click' sound is heard.

      Tip:

      Just before the marks of the case and nut align, the turning difficulty of the fastener nut will increase. Use a screwdriver as a lever to turn the fastener nut.

    5. Install the fuel filter assembly.

    6. Install the 2 fuel hoses.

    7. Install the 2 fuel heater hoses.

    INSTALL FUEL TANK CAP ASSEMBLY

    CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  4. Click here

    RESET FUEL FILTER AND FILTER WARNING LAMP


    1. Turn the ignition switch on.

      After turning the ignition switch on, connect the clogging sensor connector within 3 to 60 seconds.

    3. Check that the combination meter's filter warning light turns off.

    BLEED AIR FROM FUEL SYSTEM

      Using the hand pump, bleed air from the fuel system until pumping becomes difficult.

    PERFORM INITIALIZATION

    CHECK FOR FUEL LEAKS


    1. Check that there are no fuel leaks anywhere on the fuel system after doing maintenance.

      Tip:

      When checking for fuel leaks, make sure that there is pressure in the fuel line.
