FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE NO.3


    1. A01BG1M

      Connect the connector to the front passenger airbag assembly.

      Note

      When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

  2. INSTALL FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the clamps and claws, and install the front passenger airbag assembly.

    2. A01BCIW

      Install the instrument panel passenger airbag with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }
    3. A01BER4E02

      Connect the airbag connector.

    4. Install the airbag connector to the reinforcement.

  3. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY

  4. CONNECT CABLE TO BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL

  5. INSPECT FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

      With the front passenger airbag installed on the vehicle, perform a visual check. If there are any defects mentioned below, replace the instrument panel with a new one:


      • Cuts, minute cracks or marked discoloration on the instrument panel around the front passenger airbag.

  6. INSPECT SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT

  7. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
