ENGINE OIL COOLER REMOVAL


  1. DRAIN ENGINE OIL

  2. REMOVE TIMING BELT

  3. REMOVE OIL FILTER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Using SST, remove the oil filter.

      Tech Tips

      As the oil in the filter flows out through the drain hose, place the drain oil container under the drain hose.

    2. Clean the oil filter contact surface on the oil filter mounting.

    3. Lubricate the filter rubber gasket with clean engine oil.

  4. REMOVE COMMON RAIL ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE INJECTION PUMP ASSEMBLY

  6. REMOVE OIL COOLER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the oil pressure switch connector.

    2. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector.

    3. Remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the vacuum pipe.

    4. Remove the 13 bolts, oil cooler cover sub-assembly and gasket.

  7. REMOVE DIESEL ENGINE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR

  8. REMOVE ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH ASSEMBLY

  9. REMOVE OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the 4 nuts, oil cooler and 2 gaskets from the oil cooler cover.

  10. REMOVE DRAIN PLUG
