DESCRIPTION

The windshield wiper relay assembly controls the windshield wiper motor assembly.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY - IG1 NO. 2 RELAY AND BODY GROUND)

        Disconnect the A15 windshield wiper motor assembly connector.

      2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Voltage
        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        A15-2 (B) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
      3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        A15-4 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR - WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH AND WINDSHIELD WIPER RELAY)


    1. for LHD


      1. Disconnect the A15 windshield wiper motor assembly connector.

      2. Disconnect the F12 windshield wiper switch assembly connector.

      3. Disconnect the F72 windshield wiper relay assembly connector.

      4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        A15-5 (+1) - F12-3 (+1) Always Below 1 Ω
        A15-3 (+2) - F12-4 (+2) Always Below 1 Ω
        A15-3 (+2)- F72-11 (+2) Always Below 1 Ω
        A15-1 (+S) - F72-1 (+SM) Always Below 1 Ω
        A15-5 (+1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
        A15-3 (+2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
        A15-1 (+S) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    2. for RHD


      1. Disconnect the A15 windshield wiper motor assembly connector.

      2. Disconnect the F12 windshield wiper switch assembly connector.

      3. Disconnect the F72 windshield wiper relay assembly connector.

      4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        A15-1 (+1) - F12-3 (+1) Always Below 1 Ω
        A15-4 (+2) - F12-4 (+2) Always Below 1 Ω
        A15-4 (+2)- F72-11 (+2) Always Below 1 Ω
        A15-3 (+S) - F72-1 (+SM) Always Below 1 Ω
        A15-1 (+1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
        A15-4 (+2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
        A15-3 (+S) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      F12-1 (+S) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
