LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A004ACRE02

      *a Runner Portion
      *b Cut Off

      Using a nipper, cut off both ends of the runner portion shown in the illustration (When installing a new one).

    2. Engage the 10 guides to install the lower instrument panel sub-assembly.

    3. Install the lower instrument panel sub-assembly with the 6 <B> or <C> bolts, <D> or <E> screw and 2 <F> bolts.

    4. Connect the connectors.

    5. Engage the clamps.

    6. Engage the 2 claws to install the DLC3 connector.

  2. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the 2 guides and claw to install the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

  3. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

  4. INSTALL AIR CONDITIONING PANEL ASSEMBLY (for Manual Air Conditioning System)

  5. INSTALL AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)

  6. INSTALL CIGARETTE LIGHTER BEZEL STAY (w/ Cigarette Lighter)

  7. INSTALL CIGARETTE LIGHTER ASSEMBLY (w/ Cigarette Lighter)

  8. INSTALL NO. 1 POWER OUTLET SOCKET COVER (w/ Power Outlet Socket)

  9. INSTALL NO. 1 POWER OUTLET SOCKET ASSEMBLY (w/ Power Outlet Socket)

  10. INSTALL NO. 1 STEREO JACK ADAPTER ASSEMBLY (w/o Cover)

  11. INSTALL SPARE SWITCH HOLE COVER (w/ Cover)


    1. Engage the 2 claws to install the spare switch hole cover.

  12. INSTALL STEREO OPENING COVER WITH BRACKET (w/o Radio Receiver)

      Align the 2 holes in the radio bracket with the 2 bosses of the lower instrument panel sub-assembly.

    2. Install the stereo opening cover with bracket with the 4 screws.

  13. INSTALL RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (w/ Radio Receiver)

  14. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (w/o Knee Airbag)


    1. for LHD:


      1. Engage the 5 claws and 2 clips and install the instrument panel finish panel.

    2. for RHD:


      1. Engage the 6 claws and 2 clips and install the instrument panel finish panel.

  15. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (w/ Knee Airbag)

  16. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL


    1. for LHD:


      1. w/o Toyota Safety Sense:


        1. Engage the guide, 2 claws and 5 clips to install the No. 2 instrument panel finish panel.

      2. w/ Toyota Safety Sense:


        1. Connect the connectors.

        2. Engage the 2 claws and 6 clips to install the No. 2 instrument panel finish panel.

    2. for RHD:


      1. w/ Toyota Safety Sense:


        1. Connect the connectors.

      2. Engage the 2 claws and 6 clips to install the No. 2 instrument panel finish panel.

  17. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. w/ Footwell Light:


      1. Connect the connector.

    2. Engage the guide and 2 claws.

    3. Install the instrument panel under cover sub-assembly with the 2 <A> screws.

  18. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. w/ Footwell Light:


      1. Connect the connector.

    2. Engage the guide and the 3 claws and install the instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.

  19. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY

      Engage the 3 guides and 2 hinges in the horizontal direction to install the glove compartment door assembly.

      Note

      Engage the 2 hinges in the horizontal direction, otherwise, installation failure caused by excessive play around the hinges will result.

      While pushing in the sides of the glove compartment door as indicated by the arrows in the illustration, close the door to engage it to the 2 stoppers.

    3. Engage the claw and connect the glove compartment door stopper sub-assembly.
